The **Trans+ Solidarity Alliance** (TSA) is calling on trans people and allies to join a mass lobby of Parliament next month, as campaigners seek to keep pressure on politicians over trans rights and legal protections.

The **Mass Lobby for Trans Equality** will take place at the **Houses of Parliament** on **Wednesday, 9 September** from **1-5pm**, with organisers encouraging participants to meet their MPs face-to-face and demand action.

In a statement promoting the event, the group said: "The EHRC Code is coming into effect, but the fight is far from over. The government wants us to accept this quietly. We say we're not going anywhere."

TSA says the current situation has left anti-discrimination protections, legal gender recognition and political promises to trans communities "broken", and is urging supporters to use the return of Parliament from its summer recess to press MPs for change.

Participants are being encouraged to email their MPs in advance to arrange meetings in Westminster, with organisers promising guidance and briefing materials ahead of the day.

Those unable to secure an appointment will still be able to request an urgent meeting through Parliament's "greencarding" system, with volunteers available to offer support. TSA has also said financial assistance will be available for attendees who would otherwise be unable to afford travel costs.

According to the alliance, last year's event was the largest LGBTQ+ parliamentary lobby in UK history. Organisers are hoping to build on that turnout when campaigners gather in Westminster in September.

"We know that you are tired of this fight, but together, we cannot let this drop," the group said. "Our Mass Lobby last year was an essential in making clear to MPs they couldn't claim we didn't warn them. It helped us get more people on side and was the largest LGBTQ+ parliamentary lobby in history. Let's turn up on the 9th and make history again."

The alliance says it will provide briefing materials, guidance and on-the-day support for participants as it continues to campaign for reforms to legal protections affecting trans people.
