Are you LGBTQ+ and have questions or concerns about the COVID-19 vaccines?

*Scene* magazine held an online Q&A on **Friday, March 26** with **Alistair Hill**, Director of Public Health, and **Becky Woodiwiss**, Public Health Principal and **Dr Simon Hincks** from the Sussex NHS vaccination programme. The event was facilitated on behalf of the **Brighton Rainbow Fund** and *Scene* magazine by **Billie Lewis**.

The last year has taken a huge toll on us all, and many of us are feeling exhausted. Lockdown restrictions are changing quickly, many people have been able to get their vaccine. The recent announcement by the government that we could return to something which looks like normal life by the summer has given many of us hope. Pride events across the country have begun to announce 2021 dates, and loved ones are making plans to see each other once again.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme is a vital tool to get us to that point. Everyone should feel confident and able to access a vaccine safely. Recent research from the **LGBT Foundation** shows that some LGBTQ+ people have specific concerns, and we want to make sure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision to access this lifesaving vaccine.

People from Brighton & Hove took this opportunity seek answers to questions or concerns about the vaccines currently being rolled out across the city and UK population.

Scene magazine would like to thanks Alistair, Becky, Simon and Billie for taking the time to answer all the questions put to them.
