Trans Teesside-based music producer and singer-songwriter **That Clare** is back with a powerful new single, ***Get Away***, a hypnotic post-punk dance track that dives deep into her personal journey of coming out and transitioning. Known for her catalogue of politically charged protest songs, Clare takes a more intimate turn this time - exploring themes of identity, privilege and mental health with unflinching honesty.

While the subject matter is profound, the track pulses with an infectious groove reminiscent of early ’90s dance beats, layered with ambient synth textures and post-punk melancholy. Fans of **Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack** and **Everything But The Girl** will find themselves right at home.

“I needed to write this song and share it,” Clare explains. “There’s a narrative out there that being trans is a whim, but this track speaks to the reality - the challenges, the privilege before transition, and the impact on your life. *Get Away* is two fingers up to the haters: we’ll live authentically and dance while doing it.”

Written, produced, and recorded in her home studio, *Get Away* marks the third release from Clare’s forthcoming debut album ***Social Konstrukt***, set for release on **23 February 2026**. The single officially drops on **28 November 2025** across major streaming platforms - except Spotify, which Clare has boycotted - but is available now for early access on **Bandcamp**.

Clare’s growing confidence as a producer follows her selection for the **PRS Foundation-funded residency at The Green House** earlier this year. She recently opened the **Noisy Daughters** stage at **Last Train Home Festival** and is gearing up for a regional tour in 2026\.
