# Brighton Bear Weekend announce that they are raising funds for The Brighton Rainbow Fund and The Sussex Beacon

Local HIV charity the **Sussex Beacon** and **The Brighton Rainbow Fund** will be the beneficiaries of funds raised from this year’s **Brighton Bear Weekend** (BBW), which is one of the biggest events on the community calendar that takes place this year from **Thursday, July 6** to **Sunday, July 9**.

Following a very successful **BBW Easter Quiz** at the **Camelford Arms**, the **Mr Brighton Bear** competition has now been launched. Arguably the real highlight of the weekend though is the legendary **BBW Garden Part**y, for which people will travel from around the UK.

**Chris Gull, Chair of The Brighton Rainbow Fund,** says “It is great that BBW are supporting us, once again, and raising funds which benefit so many people in the local LGBTQ+ and HIV communities through a transparent application process which ensures that funds are distributed where they are most needed, on behalf of all those people we are really grateful to the volunteers who work so hard to make these fantastic events happen”
