The iconic **Liza Minnelli** is set to appear in season 17 of ***RuPaul’s Drag Race***.

Production company **World of Wonder** shared that not only will Liza be appearing on the programme, she will be receiving a special honour!

The award, which will be presented to Liza by **RuPaul** himself, recognises people who have made a significant impact on the world of drag and fashion.

Previous recipients include costumier and fashion designer **Bob Mackie** and US actress **Cassandra Peterson**, best known as Elvira.

During her career, Liza has received an Emmy, two Golden Globes, two Grammys, an Oscar and three Tony Awards.

The gay icon has a long history with *RuPaul’s Drag Race* with multiple queens paying tribute to her.

Among them are three separate ‘Snatch Game’ performances by **Alexis Michelle**, **Hannah Conda** and **Scarlett BoBo.**

**The season finale with Liza will air on Thursday, 18 April.**
