# Terrence Higgins Trust’s Ribbon Walk Brighton raises over £8,000

The **Ribbon Walk Brighton**, organised by HIV/sexual health charity **Terrence Higgins Trust**, yesterday raised over **£8,000** and saw people come together in the fight against HIV.

The 10K Ribbon Walk, which started and finished at **Charles Street Tap**, was a show of support for people living with HIV and an opportunity to remember those we have lost. After the event, walkers were treated to a spot of cabaret from the sensational **Dolly Diamond**, who also cut the ribbon at the start of the walk.

**Alan Bonner**, who raised a whopping **£305**, said on Facebook: “Massive love and thanks to all who donated and took part in the 10K Ribbon Walk for THT yesterday. The first one to be done in Brighton.

“£8,000 was raised of which I managed to raise £305 for THT, which is amazing! Thanks for all your kindness and generosity. Ribbon Walk Brighton was the first Ribbon Walk to take place this month. **Ribbon Walk Glasgow** takes place on **Sunday, April 10**; **Ribbon Walk London** takes place on **Sunday, April 24**.
