**The *Inspire Project*, which is co-ordinated** by the city’s Brighton Women’s Centre, has a good track record, having reduced women’s re-offending in Brighton & Hove in almost nine out of ten cases.

*Inspire* was recently visited by Government Minister Norman Baker MP for Lewes, who was impressed with their groundbreaking work.

**Brighton Women’s Centre Director Lisa Dando, said:** *“I’m delighted that the Inspire Project is expanding to help women across Sussex turn away from crime.*

*“Most experts agree that the criminal justice system needs reform – especially for women offenders. If we want to reduce reoffending, and the harm it causes to women and families, we need to continue to build on solutions that work.”*
