# "Sexier, funnier, madder and even more brilliant." JUICE starring Russell Tovey and Mawaan Rizwan is back!

The **BBC**’s critically acclaimed surreal comedy ***JUICE*** is back for a second series on **Thursday, 18 September**, bringing more of its signature blend of absurd humour, vibrant visuals, and emotional storytelling. Created by and starring **Mawaan Rizwan**, the show continues to explore themes of identity, love, and family through a uniquely chaotic lens.

****Mawaan Rizwan**

Series two picks up with Mawaan’s character navigating the complexities of adulthood, relationships, and self-expression - all while surrounded by a world that’s as unpredictable as his imagination. Returning alongside Mawaan are his real-life mother **Shahnaz Rizwan** and brother **Nabhaan Rizwan**, adding authenticity to the show’s exploration of family dynamics.

**Russell Tovey**, who plays Guy, Mawaan’s love interest, shared his excitement about returning to the show: “*JUICE* is unlike anything else on TV. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and it’s got so much heart. I love how it mixes the surreal with the deeply personal - it’s a joy to be part of something so original.”
