Zombie royalty returns with a vengeance as **Tina Romero**, daughter of horror legend **George A. Romero**, unveils the first trailer for her feature debut ***Queens of the Dead*** \- a gloriously queer, blood-soaked horror comedy that’s already making waves across the LGBTQ+ film community.

Set in the heart of Brooklyn, the film follows a group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies who must band together when a zombie apocalypse erupts during a warehouse party. With sequins flying and limbs falling, the trailer teases a riotous blend of camp, carnage, and community resilience. Think *RuPaul’s Drag Race* meets *Night of the Living Dead* \- but with more glitter and less shame.

Romero co-wrote the film with comedian **Erin Judge**, crafting a narrative that’s as much about survival as it is about chosen family. The cast is a who’s-who of queer talent, including **Katy O’Brian** (*Love Lies Bleeding*), **Jaquel Spivey** (*Mean Girls*), **Tomas Matos** (*Fire Island*), **Nina West** (*RuPaul’s Drag Race*), **Dominique Jackson** (*Pose*), **Cheyenne Jackson** (*American Horror Story*) and comedy icon **Margaret Cho**.

After winning the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the **2025 Tribeca Film Festival**, *Queens of the Dead* is set to hit cinemas on **24 October** \- just in time for Halloween. The film has been praised for its unapologetically queer lens, its celebration of drag culture, and its subversive take on the zombie genre.
