# Pride in London to kick off with Big Gay Brunch in Covent Garden

For the first time, the [**Pride in London**](https://prideinlondon.org/pride/2024/?ref=scenemag.co.uk) parade day will kick off with the **The Big Gay Brunch** in London’s West End. The free event will run from 11 am on **Saturday, 5 July**, at the **Actors’ Church**, which will throw open its gates to welcome visitors to a camp ‘village fete’, complete with food, drink, and entertainment in their bright and beautiful gardens.

The star attraction is drag cabaret artist **Le Gateau Chocolat**, who will be performing and mingling throughout the day. Adding to the entertainment, a musical theatre choir will perform a lively selection of camp classics and show tunes. From 12 - 1 pm, stars from **Magic Mike Live** will be available for a red-carpet Instagram photo opportunity. 

Two of **Charlotte Tilbury’s** top make-up artists will also be on hand to ensure everyone is Pride-ready! Experiential caterers **All in A Box** will be serving a brunch menu. Eventgoers can pre-order in advance or purchase their brunch on the day. A cash bar will also be available for those seeking something stronger. Shaftesbury Capital sponsors the event in partnership with **St Paul’s Covent Garden**. Rev **Simon Grigg**, Rector of St. Paul’s Covent Garden and devout *Hello Dolly* fan, added, “In the heart of London’s theatre district, there is no better place to celebrate Pride before the parade passes by.”
