That European cultural powerhouse on our doorstep Glyndebourne returns this month with a series of free online streams of some of its best opera productions from the archive.

[Glyndebourne Open House](https://www.glyndebourne.com/on-screen/?ref=scenemag.co.uk) , first launched in May 2020 as a virtual season following the cancellation of last year’s Festival due to the pandemic, had over 850,000 people tuning in. This year Open House comprises 4 operas by composers who will feature in the socially-distanced season when the opera house opens its doors post-lockdown, this Summer.

Also in collaboration with Marquee TV , there will be 4 concerts to watch on the subscription channel. Digital season tickets will cost £ 50\. Go to marquee.tv

The free opera screenings are:

**23 May – 6 June : The Cunning Little Vixen** – Janacek’s enchanting opera from a 2012 recording with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Lucy Crowe in the title role.

**13-27 June: The Barber of Seville by Mozart.** Recorded in 2016 , it has an all-star cast including Danielle de Niese, Alessandro Corbelli and Bjorn Burger.

**4 – 18 July: La clemenza di Tito.** Loosely based on the life of Roman emperor Titus , it’s a heart-tugging masterpiece by Mozart, recorded in 2017 .

**1-29 August: La traviata.** Russian soprano Venera Gimadieva plays the tragic Violetta alongside the wonderful charismatic American tenor Michael Fabiano as Alfredo. It’s a 2014 recording.

All the operas will be on the opera house’s website glyndebourne.com/on-screen and on YouTube.com/glyndebourne

Also on those 2 platform is the documentary No Ordinary Summer about Glyndebourne’s battle to get back to live performances .
