**AS the sun beat relentlessly down** on Worthing Seafront, the inaugural Worthing Pride successfully managed to capture the atmosphere of what Pride is all about with more than 600 people registered on the parade and almost 3,600 buying tickets for the event on the park where they enjoyed an afternoon of first class entertainment provided by **Abba Magic**, **Allan Jay**, **Kid Ivy,** **Paul Diello**, **DJs Trick** and **Missy B**, **Davina Sparkle**, **Miss Disney**, **Miss Jason**, **Jason Thorpe**, **Jason Lee**, and **Eva La Diva.**

The afternoons entertainment was superbly hosted by **Spice** and programmed by **DJ Claire Fuller** current holder of the Golden Handbag for Best local DJ.

Sadly the Mayor of Worthing, **Cllr Paul Baker** had a prior engagement, however the Mayor of Littlehampton Town Council, **Cllr Billy Blanchard-Cooper** was on hand to bring civil approval to the proceedings.
