On January 28, Brighton & Hove City Council is convening a Scrutiny Panel into ‘party houses’ and would like to hear from members of the public who have had experience of these properties. Councillors want to hear about people’s experiences, what they think the problems are and what solutions they would like to see.The council is also looking for examples of good practice which can be taken up by ‘party house’ operators, so is encouraging operators to come and speak to councillors too.The meeting is on **January 28, 2014 from 3-5pm in the Council Chamber at Hove Town Hall.** **For further information or to book a slot to talk to the Panel, [EMAIL:](mailto:scrutiny@brighton-hove.gov.uk "EMAIL:")**[ ](mailto:scrutiny@brighton-hove.gov.uk "EMAIL:")[ ](mailto:scrutiny@brighton-hove.gov.uk)Or telephone **(01273) 290450\.** Or just turn up on the day.

**Councillor Geoffrey Bowden, who will chair the Scrutiny Panel, said:** *“Properly managed ‘party houses’ can bring financial benefit to the city contributing to the visitor economy.
