**Paris** has been ranked the world’s number one destination for queer travellers in 2026, according to new global data released by dating app **Grindr**.

The French capital topped the list based on analysis of in‑app activity, including travel patterns, messaging and connections between users, as summer holiday planning gathers pace.

**London** placed second, followed by **Rio de Janeiro, New York, Bangkok**, **São Paulo** and **Berlin**, highlighting what Grindr described as a global and intercontinental network of queer travel hotspots.

The data was released alongside the return of Grindr’s original travel series *Host or Travel*, now in its third season, which explores LGBTQ+ nightlife, culture and community through the experiences of local hosts and visiting travellers.

Grindr said the findings reflected broader trends shaping queer travel in 2026, including a rise in cross‑border connections, late‑night social activity and the use of location‑based features to meet people abroad.

According to the data, cities such as **Taipei**, **Milan** and **Athens** ranked among the world’s most active for messaging, while **Manila**, **Buenos Aires** and Taipei recorded the highest levels of late‑night chat. Smaller countries including **Luxembourg**, **Japan** and **Slovenia** showed particularly high levels of international cross‑border connections.

Paris’s continued popularity was attributed to its established LGBTQ+ neighbourhoods, nightlife and cultural scene, particularly in areas such as Le Marais, which features prominently in the new season of *Host or Travel*.

Grindr’s chief marketing officer, **Tristan Pineiro**, said travel remained about more than sightseeing for many LGBTQ+ people.

“For gay travellers, finding your community in a new city isn’t just a nice‑to‑have - it’s crucial,” Pineiro said. “People are using Grindr not just to date, but to discover safe spaces, local culture and genuine connection.”

The third season of *Host or Travel* features episodes filmed in cities including **Sydney**, **Austin**, **Puerto Vallarta**, **Paris**, **Manila**, **Lisbon** and **Miami**.
