**Owain Wyn Evans**, the drumming weatherman and *BBC North West Tonight* presenter, is set to share a crash course in Polari with his followers on social media ahead of his special **Manchester Pride** show on [**BBC Radio Manchester** ](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc%5Fradio%5Fmanchester?ref=scenemag.co.uk)on **Saturday, August 29** from **2pm**.

The social clip was filmed after Owain explored the secret language on *The One Show* earlier this week, and is set to be shared on **[his Twitter](https://twitter.com/OwainWynEvans?ref=scenemag.co.uk)** tomorrow morning.

Owain’s special show will feature a host of LGBTQ+ guests such as *Dr Who* writer **Russell T Davies,** and *Drag Race UK*‘s **Divina de Campo**, as well as a bespoke Pride playlist as picked by Owain himself.

Covid-19 demanded the cancellation of Manchester Pride 2020 earlier in the year and Owain’s show hopes to allow people to celebrate one of Manchester’s biggest annual events from the safety of their own homes.

The show is set to broadcast on BBC Radio Manchester and **BBC Sounds** from **2pm** on **Saturday, August 29**.
