# Independent artist Matt Wright is ready to soundtrack your summer with latest single

Independent artist **Matt Wright** is back with *Falling*\-a shimmering dance-pop gem laced with tropical house flourishes that make it ripe for summer playlists and late-night drives alike.

Released today, the track delves into the dizzying rush of new love-the way it can feel instantly familiar, like you’ve known someone forever. Through glossy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Matt captures the all-consuming emotions that often come with the spark of a fresh connection: exhilarating, overwhelming, and beautifully impulsive.

Like several of his other songs, *Falling* has also been previously featured as **BBC Introducing’s Track of the Day** across both **BBC Radio Sussex** and **BBC Radio Surrey**. The music video for the song was filmed by his real-life partner with the help of their 4-year-old daughter, whilst on a family holiday to **Kos**, **Greece**. It was then cleverly edited together with 3 different panels to create an interesting mix of performance shots from around the island of Kos, that really suit the summer vibes of the track itself.

The video was inspired by the music video for **NOTD**’s *Hold On Me*. The single also features an **Owl City**\-style B-Side called *Paper Dreams* that showcases a very different, almost nonsensical fun side to Matt’s usual, deeply personal lyricism.

His latest single *Heartbreaker* (which I reviewed back in [January](https://www.gscene.com/arts/music/independent-artist-matt-wright-drops-new-single-heartbreaker%F0%9F%92%94/?ref=scenemag.co.uk)) was his most successful release so far with the music video featuring **Ollie King** from **BBC Three**’s *I Kissed A Boy*, as hosted by the one and only **Dannii Minogue**. Matt's hopes are that *Falling* outperforms *Heartbreaker* so stream to support independent artists! Plus it’s a bop.
