[**MindOut**](https://mindout.org.uk/?ref=scenemag.co.uk), the LGBTQ+ mental health charity, had announced it will be offering a series of **Advocacy Workshops** for LGBTQ+ people aged over 50, starting on **Thursday, January 28**.

These workshops, which are facilitated by **Karen Dresback**, 50+ Project Advocacy Worker, and **Dawn Hayes**, 50+Project Leader, will cover a range of topics and are available to any LGBTQ+ people who identify as LGBTQ+, as well as any MindOut service users, volunteers, staff, and trustees over 50 years old.

**Thursday, January 28**, **1-3pm** – Self Advocacy**Thursday, February 25**, **1-3pm** – Assertiveness**Thursday, March 25**, **1-3pm** – Self-esteem**Thursday, April 29**, **1-2pm** – Your rights**Thursday, June 3**, **1-3pm** – Planning and organising**Thursday, July 8**, **1-3pm** – Collective issues
