Mexican American pop sensation **Bentley Robles** has officially dropped his debut single *New Song*, the first taste of his upcoming 2026 album-and it’s paired with his long-awaited first music video, released under his new label deal. It’s bold, infectious, and everything fans were hoping for. Originally written for a potential **Britney Spears** comeback, Bentley shared the demo online and instantly sent the Internet into a frenzy. The song’s undeniable bop factor struck a chord and now it’s getting the full spotlight it deserves.

The music video is just as captivating and giving high budget. It opens with Bentley-sporting his signature yellow hair, approaching a mysterious house and nervously knocking on the door. What follows is a surreal initiation sequence: blindfolded and put through hazing rituals like being spanked and doing push-ups, Bentley finds himself trying to earn a place in an exclusive, secretive but hot fraternity.

In the final scene, Bentley-now fully initiated into the mysterious fraternity-takes the lead, guiding a fresh group of pledges. It’s a striking metaphor for the ever-evolving wave of emerging talent, with Bentley positioned as both trailblazer and mentor in this glittering pop universe.

The official music video for *New Song* is a full-circle creative moment for Bentley-he directed it himself, with **Thea Sass-Ainsworth** producing and serving as creative director. The visual is a feast of bold aesthetics and high-impact performance, brought to life through **Trevor Paul**’s striking cinematography and **Ryan Redmond**’s dynamic choreography. It’s a cinematic, high-energy showcase that perfectly matches the pulse of the track. And if you caught my interview with *TEARS & GEARZ* last week ([HERE](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/interview-tears-gearz-are-trying-to-fill-the-void-wham-left-behind/)), you might recognise a surprise cameo from **ZEE MACHINE**! Oh, and there’s a sneaky little Easter egg at the end too… but I’ll let you discover that one yourself.

Back in the summer of 2023, the algorithm blessed me with Bentley Robles’ track [*HOPE U CRY*](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/bentley-robles-your-new-fave-pop-main-boy-drops-hope-u-cry-f0-9f-92-94-f0-9f-92-a7/) which really made me sit up and pay attention. I was instantly hooked. Naturally, I jumped onto **X** (still called **Twitter** back then) to follow him, and to my surprise, we were already mutuals! Small world moment. I sent him a DM and he replied with the sweetest message, saying he loves cosmic shit like this! Honestly, he was so kind-and still is. Beyond being genuinely lovely, the guy’s insanely talented. I’ve been a fan ever since, and watching his journey has been incredible. He's been in the music industry for 72 years and has signed a record deal FINALLY, back in July, super deserved!🍾

I just hope he doesn’t blow up too much and forget about our little DM exchange lol! Back to *New Song*\-true to form, Bentley delivers electrifying choreography and unapologetically sensual queer energy throughout the video. And the cast includes a lineup of undeniably swoon-worthy supporting guys that add an extra layer of visual indulgence. Bentley always knows what the gays want!

Bentley describes *New Song* as a provocative reflection on our obsession with novelty-and how quickly we toss it aside. “We crave what’s fresh,” he explains. “A rising star, a new trend, a sound we haven’t heard before. But the moment it loses its shine? We’re already onto the next.” That fleeting allure of “new” becomes a metaphor for desire, lust, and obsession. For Bentley, it’s thrilling-but also unsettling.

> What happens when I’m no longer new?

He frames pop culture as a relentless cycle: worship, consume, discard, repeat. *New Song* is his cheeky, chant-driven, and undeniably sexy response to that pattern. It’s part critique, part confession, part seduction. “I’m Bentley,” he declares, “your new pop boy, ready to feed the machine.”

Co-written in just a few hours with longtime collaborator **Dominic Florio**, the track channels early 2000s energy-think Britney Spears meets **Timbaland**\-with a pulsing, percussive beat that demands attention. It’s giving *I’m a Slave 4 U* in all the best ways.
