After two years of Covid cancellations, the much-loved community event **Burning the Clocks** returned to Brighton last night (**Wednesday, December 21**), bringing around 25,000 people together to watch a procession of lanterns parade and ceremonially burn on the seafront, before a fireworks show.

Luckily the weather held out for the event, which is organised by community-led arts charity **Same Sky**. The unique cultural event, which celebrates the Winter Solstice, returned this year with the theme ***Wild***, focusing on the untamed aspects of nature, winter, and the ever-changing elements of our world.
