GLAAD has launched a [COVID-19 website hub](https://www.glaad.org/publications/coronavirus-overview?ref=scenemag.co.uk) to ensure LGBTQ people are ‘seen, heard and taken care of’’ during the pandemic.

Accessed via the [GLAAD homepage](https://www.glaad.org/?ref=scenemag.co.uk), the COVID-19 site includes advice on self care, becoming an at-home advocate, entertainment news and posts showcasing the diversity of the LGBTQ community.

**GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis** said: ‘During this time of uncertainty, some LGBTQ people, especially our youth, are staying in homes that are not welcoming or affirming. Isolation can be dangerous for LGBTQ people and the GLAAD staff is working remotely to do what we do best: send the messages that inspire and uplift LGBTQ people, fight back against discrimination, and bring the community together to feel the strength and power of our unity.

‘LGBTQ people have largely been left out of political, media, and national narratives around the coronavirus so the GLAAD team launched this site to ensure LGBTQ people are seen, heard and taken care of.’

The site offers mental health resources and access to 24/7 hotlines as well as advice on taking care of yourself during the pandemic, an At-Home Advocate section suggests ways to take action and let your voice be heard, and an Entertainment page provides access to interviews, LGBTQ media news and recommendations from the GLAAD staff on what to watch, read and listen to.

There are also Community Profiles showing how youth, Spanish and Latinx, transgender people and communities of colour are responding to COVID-19.
