Archivist **Penny McMahon** will be giving a **FREE** 30-minute talk in **Parliament** on **Thursday, July 30** from **6pm**, which will draw upon historical documents to highlight the significance of parliamentary legislation on the lives of LGBTQ+ people and tell some of their stories.

In the first half of the talk, Penny will discuss the legislative persecution that LGBTQ+ people have faced, going back to Tudor times. Then in the second part, she will focus on some of the Parliamentarians who played a significant role in changing these laws.

There will be 15 minutes available for attendees to ask questions and share their stories.
