# Digbeth cinema to screen ‘MAISIE’ documentary

***MAISIE***, a documentary on Britain’s oldest performing drag artist, will be shown at **Mockingbird Cinema** in **Digbeth**, Birmingham from **Friday, August 5** to **Sunday, August 7**.

Directed by **Lee Cooper**, *MAISIE* tells the story of **David Raven** who, with 50 years in the business, still performs as **Maisie Trollette**. As his 85th birthday approaches, this documentary explores the challenges this brings, and follows the competitive rivalries that bloom when he meets fellow drag queen, **Darcelle XV** from America, who at 87 and holds a **Guinness World Record** for the world’s oldest drag performer.
