I grew up listening to **Madonna**, **Mariah Carey**, **Kylie Minogue**, **Spice Girls**, **Britney Spears** and even **AQUA** and I’ve always been obsessed with pop culture and **Eurovison**! I love sharing my favourite songs and album every month with the world from **Scene HQ**! ### Lady Gaga - The Dead Dance The Mayhem era is Gaga's best era yet, there I said it! Baaaack in August, she low key teased *The Dead Dance* during a **Roblox** meet and greet where she and her little monsters designed chaotic and campy outfits for a virtual runway. Then she casually dropped a pic of herself gaming on an **iPad** with the caption, “In case you were wondering if it was me.” Iconic. Next thing you know, she popped up at **Netflix** and **Spotify**’s *Wednesday Graveyard Gala* in **NYC** literally inside themed coffins to announce the track. The timing was perfect too since it dropped alongside part two of *Wednesday* season two (which was too good if btw). *The Dead Dance* is pure spooky euphoria, again perfect timing for spooky season! Gaga channels heartbreak into a fierce anthem of survival, co-written and produced with **Andrew Watt** and **Cirkut**. Worth every second of the hype. The music video was directed by the one and only **Tim Burton** and was shot on **Mexico**’s haunting **Island of the Dolls** (it's an actual place)bringing chilling cinematic vibes. The choreography has even drawn comparisons to **Michael Jackson**’s iconic *Thriller* which is a huge compliment to MJ and Gaga. ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000039177.gif) I'm dancin' until I'm dead! ### Allie X - Is Anybody Out There? I'm so eXcited to be an **Allie X** fan (see what I did there?!) because well she's amazing andis kicking off a new era already! ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/09/1000038345-1.jpg) I'm still not over *No Girl With No Face* (to be fair I never will be) but *Is Anybody Out There?* is here. Written and self produced by Allie X and one of her most introspective works to date, touching on themes of loneliness, grief and the surreal nature of modern life including a poignant reference to the loss of her collaborator, **Bram Inscore**. Oh and it's taken from her upcoming fourth studio album, *Happiness Is Going To Get You*. Allie said "This one gushed out of me with no warning. Written mostly by myself at the piano and another dive into self producing, *HIGGY* has been a thrilling journey and an incredible world to build." and it's out NEXT MONTH omgomgomgndnsmsnsns. I guess I'm one of those millennials that doesn't really go on **TikTok** and always late to the party so maybeee that's why but basically *yezzir* is the biggest earworm I've ever heard, it's a high energy hip house track that leans into bbno$'s signature sound and I just instantly loved it. With lyrics that bounce between absurdist humour and braggadocious flair, it’s obviously crafted as a party anthem complete with a chorus that repeats *yezzir* like a rallying cry. It's stupidly fun and chaotic. Perfect for when WFH for an extra boost of motivation, works for me anyway! ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000038563.jpg) *gigolo* is another bop too and both of the official music videos are total eye candy and my crush of the day every day at the minute is bbno$.😍 *yezzir* and *gigolo* are part of a weekly rollout leading up to his album release dropping on the 17th October so mark your calendar! ### Damiano David - Talk to Me (feat. Tyla, Nile Rodgers) Taken from the deluxe edition of debut solo album *Funny Little Fears (Dreams)*, **Måneskin** frontman **Damiano David** has released *Talk to Me* featuring **Tyla** and multi-award winning funk and disco legend **Nile Rodgers.** This is one of the year’s most wild and catchiest collabs that no one asked for but I'm always here for an unexpected collab and plot twist! ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000039166.jpg) Damiano David switches gears with *Talk To Me*, a genre blending track co-written and produced by **John Hill** and **Sammy Witte** with songwriting from **Sarah Aarons**. Nile Rodgers lays down his signature funk riffs, Tyla’s smooth vocals bring a nostalgic glow and Damiano’s raspy delivery adds a smoky rock ‘n’ roll nibble. It’s honestly such a mood. Damiano shared that the song came from a sudden burst of inspiration before tour: “What made this spark even more exciting was knowing that the legendary Nile Rodgers thought the song worthy of adding his solo guitar. I always felt this song should be a duet… I was completely blown away and really wanted to have \[Tyla\] sing it with me.” Tyla was instantly hooked: “I heard myself on it straight away. Excited about how new it feels for me, my tygrs gonna luv ittt.” And Nile? “I wanted my guitar to be the third voice,” he said. “Talk To Me was a fun one to work on!” ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000039286.jpg) ### Blue - One Last Time First off can we just take a moment to appreciate how rare it is that **Blue** have never split up or swapped members? That’s seriously impressive for a boy band right?! They've even been been to Eurovision and got dropped by their label but they're still here, I just think that's really cool! Anyway **Duncan James** penned *One Last Time* as a heartfelt tribute to his best friend Terry, who was a dancer on Blue’s very first tour 25 years ago. “We just became best mates,” Duncan shared. “I lost him very tragically and sadly last year and I was gutted. But I wrote this song in his memory-it was almost like a love letter to him.” ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000039228.jpg) As the lead single from their upcoming seventh studio album *Reflections*, the track showcases Blue’s signature harmonies with a fresh emotional punch. Blue are bringing their 25th Anniversary Tour next year to Brighton too with a stop at the **Brighton Centre**. ### Slayyyter - *CANNIBALISM*! I don’t even know where to start with *CANNIBALISM!* by **Slayyyter**\-it’s my ultimate **Halloween** 2025 anthem. A grungy pop beast that plunges into the shadowy depths of pop with a fierce bite. ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/1000039029-1.gif) October belongs to Slayyyter and she knows she ate with this. *CANNIBALISM!* debuted on **Spotify** with 269k streams, Cathy's biggest numbers yet! She's clearly on the fast track to pop stardom. The music video is a deliciously twisted homage to vintage glam and 80s horror btw, think rhinestone blood, fierce showgirl choreography and sultry black and white shots straight out of a **Russ Meyer** fever dream. The aesthetic is camp, creepy and utterly iconic. $LAYYY! ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/09/STANDARD.webp) ## AOTM: JADE That's Showbiz Baby! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Omg it feels like we’ve gone from a pop drought to an absolute flood of incredible albums. I was this close to picking **Mariah Carey**’s *Here For It All*, **Doja Cat**’s *Vie*, **Zara Larsson**’s *Midnight Sun*, **Lola Young**’s *I’m Only F\*\*king Myself*, or **Perrie**’s self-titled debut as my album of the month. But the truth is huns, I’ve had *That’s Showbiz Baby!* on repeat-start to finish-every single day since it dropped. So how could I not choose **JADE** for my AOTM? Plus she totally inspired me to finally write my definitive ranking of every **Britney Spears** album (yesss it's [HERE](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/a-definitive-ranking-of-every-britney-spears-album/) so don't panic) so giving her the crown just felt right. I’m genuinely in awe of Jade's razor-sharp attention to detail, every second of the album and its visuals feels deliberate and layered and bursting with easter eggs, it's pop perfection. Dropping a full visual album as part of her debut is simply iconic. (**Beyoncé**, we love you, but the *Renaissance* visuals are still MIA!) Jade absolutely deserves her roses. She may be a seasoned pro with over ten years of hit making in **Little Mix** and industry savvy since she was 18, but her solo era proves she was born to be an *IT Girl*. ![](https://media.tenor.com/97IeLUVun_4AAAAC/jadesdreamland-jade-thirlwall.gif) Jade co-wrote the album herself, drawing inspo from her childhood soundtrack-think Spice Girls, **Samantha Mumba** and the club bangers her brother blasted next door from **Scooter** and **Cascada**. With collaborators like **Tove Lo**, **Raye** and **Mike Sabath** on board, you already know it’s gonna slap. The album’s intro and lead single, *Angels Of My Dreams* is the perfect intro to what to expect from what's to come-kind of. *AOMD* is a bold exploration of Jade's relationship with the music industry and mirrors the album’s overall sound: unpredictable, campy, chatoic and unapologetically JADE. ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/09/1000038352.jpg) Jade throws herself into every facet of pop whether she’s delivering the high voltage electropop of *IT Girl* and *Midnight Cowboy* tapping into raw vulnerability on *Natural at Disaster* or gliding through the smooth R&B textures of *Lip Service*. Each song feels like a deliberate stride into terrain she’s been itching to explore and she navigates it all with a natural ease that makes genre hopping look effortless. > That's Showbiz Baby! is meant to feel like I've just thrown things at a wall and created this pure pop, joyful record. *Before You Break My Heart* cleverly samples **The Supremes**’ *Stop! In The Name Of Love,* injecting a nostalgic jolt into a track that’s equal parts tender and ready to light up the dancefloor. Jade's disco sensibilities truly shine in the album’s dazzling midsection-from *Fantasy*, a euphoric celebration of sexual liberation to *Self Saboteur*, a shimmering heartbreak anthem that channels peak **Kylie** glamour. ![](https://www.scenemag.co.uk/content/images/2025/10/545837087_122161705820390071_6175726349498483261_n.jpg) Fun fact: *That's Showbiz Baby!* debuted at number three on the official UK albums chart with 23,262 album equivalent units, basically securing the biggest debut album in 2025 wowowowow, this really does solidify Jade's status as pop’s latest shape shifter, effortlessly slipping between genres and moods. *That's Showbiz Baby!* is a maximalist and totally magnetic album and if this is Jade's pop thesis, well she’s graduated with glittering honors! I feel like I need to mention Jade's **Brit Awards** performance whilst we're here too: One for the pop culture history books! With her tour set to hit the **Brighton Dome** on 11.10.25, the countdown is officially on and I can’t wait to hear this whole album in real life, hopefully she performs the whole album. *FUFN (Fuck You For Now)* is still my favourite song on the album followed by *Plastic Box*, *Silent Disco*, *IT Girl*, *Angel Of My Dreams*, *Fantasy*, *Glitch*, *Lip Service*, *Self Saboteur*, *Midnight Cowboy*, *Headache*, *Unconditional*, *Before You Break My Heart* and *Natural at Disaster*....so basically the whole album is that bitch.
