**Rapper Da Brat** has announced she is in a lesbian relationship with Kaleidoscope Hair Products CEO **Jesseca Dupart.** In an emotional video [posted on her Instagram page](https://www.instagram.com/sosobrat/?utm%5Fsource=ig%5Fembed), the Grammy-nominated artist who is best know for her collaborations with the likes of Missy Elliot, Maria Carey and Destiny’s Child, confirmed her loved-up status to a legion of followers.

The video opens with a breathless, sobbing Da Brat seemingly overwhelmed by the gift of a white Bentley from her adoring partner, who tries to comfort her throughout.

Her lover Dupart then posted a photo of them embracing entitled simply *“Yep”* and another of the ladies’ matching white Bentleys side by side with the message *“Hers n Hers”.* This is the first time the Chicago born musician and actress has openly shared news of her gay relationship.

In a message to her fans, Da Brat said

*“I’ve always been a kind of private person until I met my heart’s match who handles some things differently than I do. I have never experienced this feeling. It’s so overwhelming that I often find myself in a daze hoping to never get pinched to see if it’s real so I can live the dream forever.”*

Dupart then posted an update thanking all for *“the love and support. It FARRR outweighs the hatred and the lies.”*
