# Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run donates more that £7,800 to local charities including LGBTQ+ mental health charity MindOut

The **Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run** has donated £7,834.65 to local good causes this year, taking the event’s total charitable contributions over five years to more than £26,000.

Organised by **Brighton & Hove Frontrunners**, the annual event has become a significant fundraiser for organisations supporting LGBTQ+ people and the wider community across Sussex.

The largest share of this year’s donations, £7,034.65, has been awarded to LGBTQ+ mental health charity **MindOut**. A further £500 will go to **Pride Community Foundation**, while £300 has been donated to **Sussex Heart Foundation**, which provides equipment used during the event.

The latest fundraising effort brings the total amount donated since the Rainbow Run launched five years ago to £26,174.65.

As well as raising money, organisers distributed 7,000 Pride-themed toothbrushes to local charities thanks to support from sponsor **Ambour House**. The toothbrushes will be included in emergency packs for people in need and have been shared with MindOut, **Allsorts Youth Project**, **Brighton Trans Pride**, **Lunch Positive**, **Off The Fence**, **Switchboard** and **BHT Sussex**.

Brighton & Hove Frontrunners thanked everyone involved in making the event a success, including runners, volunteers, sponsors and supporters.

In a statement, organisers said they were “incredibly proud” of the impact the Rainbow Run has had on the local community, highlighting the collective effort behind five years of fundraising and community support.

The group added that reaching more than £26,000 in donations was a testament to the strength of Brighton and Hove’s LGBTQ+ community and those who continue to support the event each year.
