# BLAGSS raises £800 for HIV charity Lunch Positive at 25th Birthday Bash

**BLAGSS** (Brighton Lesbian & Gay Sports Society) held its 25th Birthday Party at the **Grand** in Brighton last month. Formed in 1997, BLAGSS has a membership of 500 and provides 15 sports every week for people of all ages and abilities, details available [HERE](http://www.blagss.org/?ref=scenemag.co.uk).

Over 130 members and friends attended and after dinner were entertained by **Gabriella Parrish** and a disco.

**John Moore**, Chair of BLAGSS, said: “The evening was a great success and the first opportunity for many to get out and enjoy themselves since the pandemic.”

The raffle on the night **raised over £800** for local HIV charity **Lunch Positive** and **Gary Pargeter**, who was at the event, was “delighted with such generous support”.

**Peter** and **Gerard** won first prize in the raffle, which was a picture presented by local artist **Alej ez**.
